Following our sold out Fela Kuti screening, we’re excited to bring you the next edition! We’ll be screening a film, followed by vinyl DJs and live percussion to keep the energy high until 2am.

 

Featuring the legendary documentary “Our Latin Thing” which showcases the electrifying talents of legendary icons, including percussionist Ray Barreto, trombonist Willie Colón, vocalist Cheo Feliciano, pianist Larry Harlow, and Fania Records co-founder Johnny Pacheco. Their performances are seamlessly interwoven with vibrant footage capturing the spirit and everyday life of the Nuyorican community, creating a powerful portrait of music, culture, and identity.

 

The screening will be followed by a deep dive into DJ Dominique’s incredible Latin collection. She will be joined by legendary percussionist Alfonso “El Mono” de Jesus who may even treat us to some vocals!
