Waju Talks returns with a curated screening and conversation exploring the female gaze across film and art. This edition examines how traditionally male-dominated spaces from the football pitch to the art world shift when stories are viewed and authored by women. What changes when women enter spaces historically shaped by men? Who frames the male body? This event is open to everyone. You are welcome to speak, respond to the films, or simply listen. Expect a focused screening, a layered conversation and a space grounded in curiosity rather than judgement. The evening includes two short films followed by a conversation reflecting on the themes raised.
The Bloody Mary Film Club is a curated screening series celebrating revenge, avenging women, and cult cinema with a bite. Founded by writer, artist, and academic Mary Morgan @msmarymorgan — currently completing a PhD on violent women on screen and fantasies of vengeance — the club brings together film lovers and the revenge-curious for nights of sharp, thrilling cinema. Each Bloody Mary Film Club screening is accompanied by a short introduction that situates the film within its genre, explores its cultural context, and unpacks why these stories continue to resonate. Equal parts film deep-dive, cultural commentary, and revenge fantasy.
